If you are thinking of advertising on social media to generate business, then our expert Simon Clark had some salient advice. With 3.8 billion people using social media worldwide, it is a great way to drive business to your websites and increase sales. Facebook, he said, has now taken over You Tube in the rankings of most users, with Twitter coming in 17th. Where is YOUR audience he asked. Most 25 plus people are on Facebook and Linked In, with Instagram being preferred by 18 to 23 year olds. With 190,000 people in and around St Ives using Facebook, he advised businesses to use the Facebooks Ads App.

And for those using their computers to keep on top of business, KTS are helping them rectify problems before they become a disaster, while also assisting by working outside normal business hours if security software needs to be downloaded. This will ensure ‘business as usual’! Newest member Marina Hilton Your VA Consultant joined the club for her first meeting with us. With a background of some 18 years in the construction industry, she is now assisting businesses with those time-consuming administration jobs which can take up what would otherwise be precious free-time at weekends.

Glenn Taylforth Property Solutions has some exciting future projects planned to help your money work harder for you if you have some to invest, while Omnidogs has announced a new range of funky retro dog collars and leads in bright colours.  More good news from Monument Joinery who have just won a very big contract – congrats to the heritage specialists; and Nova Performance whose outdoor classes, which started on Monday helping people get fit and strong, were fully booked. Well done, Adam!

For those who have taken advantage of the recent albeit brief spell of good weather to get on with some garden clearance, don’t forget CBS Waste, who now operate a skip service and can help you dispose of your waste safely. PR and Creative Engagement Specialist Collette Parker 20 20 Communications has had a busy week, giving a presentation online, hosting a session with the great Shakespearean actor of her generation Dame Janet Suzman, and compiling a media release and helping to support the making of a short promotional video for a theatre company.

K A Page Groundworks

Kevin Page has been working in groundworks for the past 35 years. He showed members a film featuring a very impressive array of equipment and vehicles at the company’s St Ives yard. These included a lorry able to transport 16 tonnes of aggregate, and a mini skip tipper which tips waste and rubble into a lorry, to name but a few. Kevin and his team have vast experience in every aspect of groundworks, from dropped kerbs and paving to gravel parking and fencing. In St Ives they work with the Town Team and the local council assisting with signage, roundabouts, sculptures and streetworks. They are Highways Approved and Streetworks Certified, fully insured and council approved.
