Presentation: Purser and Luxford – Luke Gordon

Luke took members on a fascinating video tour of the company show room and garage in St Ives, giving a rare insight into what goes on behind the garage workshop doors. As well as a great range of vehicles – new and used – for sale, we got close up and personal to some of the inner workings of cars, from seeing how a laser is used for wheel tracking to examining the quality of brake pads and what to look out for. Plus why some wheels just won’t cut the mustard due to wear and tear, checking for fractures in springs, together with vital checks on moisture content in brake fluid.
