Presentation: Ed’s Gardening Services

Ali McCormick turned his green fingered talents to gardens last year when he took a franchise with the company Ed’s Gardening Services. There are many advantages working with a franchise he told the meeting. This includes the services of an office for answering calls and taking enquiries, customer diary and job planning, a van, fabulous range of state of the art equipment, and training with experts and regular updates in subject areas from lawncare and pruning to new technologies and use of equipment.

Ali, a football coach for a local junior team, offers the following services:

  • Lawncare mowing scarifying aerating and treatments
  • Hedge trimming
  • Jet washing
  • Garden clearance
  • Tidy up
  • Pruning and turfing
  • Small landscaping
  • Salt spreading in winter.

He takes all green waste to a local farm, which gets turned into compost.

His top tip for lawns – feed and rake them quarterly! And if you have a dog which pees on your lawn, get them some Dog Rocks for their drinking water as this can help neutralise the pee and help your lawn!
