A number of our members are looking for staff this week:
Monument Joinery – the heritage specialists are looking to recruit a new joiner!
CBS Waste – the waste and facilities management speacialist is taking delivery of its 2 and 4 yard skips this week and needs a removals porter too!

More news from members:-
Purser and Luxford – for the garage and car sales business in St Ives variety is the spice of life. The company repairs and maintains all sorts of vehicles – including this week a horsebox. Impressions – the one stop print shop in Somersham – has also experienced a touch of the unusual this week – printing logos on rubber ducks!
And news of some great team work from two members this week. Riverport Residential Cleaning are doing a special social services clean for a person in need. Last time they did this they had 68 bags of rubbish. CBS Waste has come to the rescue and will be joining them this weekend to help dispose of the waste collected!
Some great advice too from our members this week. Ali of Ed’s Gardening Services said that with the current weather we are having, grass is growing fast. If you have been taking part in the National Trust’s No Mow May project to help bees and other insects, you could now by struggling with very long grass. Weekly mows will be needed going forward. Voxxlife Consultant Jo Crouchman referred to Davina McCall’s revealing programme on menopause last week on C4. The Voxxlife tech, a pattern on socks, insoles and a sleeve can help with neuro responses to tackle some of the issues created by the menopause, including brain fog, mental health and well-being, and aching legs. Paul Doggett of Towergate Insurance Brokers helps gives advice primarily for commercial insurance, but had a great tip for those renewing their home insurance. A 35-page document which most of us would not read contained a one-line clause which said the insurer would not pay compensation for those whose homes were affected by an adverse weather event, for instance if a chimney stack fell down after a storm. On reading this Paul quickly recommended switching to another insurance provider. Heritage Wills is giving free advice for those looking to update their wills, arrange power of attorney or create a property trust. Peace of mind matters he said and with a power of attorney arrangement you could avoid 12 to 18 months of misery! If you don’t want an admin person but need one then consider using a virtual assistant. Marina at Your VA Consultant has been busy this week working on new systems for clients with totally new branding, converting slides from old to new.
Tips from Social Media Expert Simon Clark – if you wonder why you are not getting any engagement on your Facebook pages then put up more creatives to inspire and motivate. Think about photographs for Throwback Thursday, share something personal which shows more about you as a person, your character and personality, as people relate to this. Don’t forget Feelgood Friday – post a wonderful review for instance – or something for Motivational Monday!

Paul, who has been working as an electrician for 22 years, gave us a sample of some of the fascinating projects he has been working on too:-
- Fan suspended 7 metres high at the American Cemetery in Madingley
- A hobbit studio in the garden for a top hair stylist
- A Victorian former prison turned into a residence
- A beautiful ancient barn turned into a wedding venue
- Outdoor lighting for a 200-year-old pub.
