Update on local businesses and how they can help you and maybe your business if you have one. This is a long update but these businesses are here to help you if you need it.

Matthew Silsby: M&D Flooring:                  The shop is shut because of the regulations but Matt is able to help on the phone. He and his staff are still keeping busy at home with health and safety training as well as product knowledge refreshers. Howard King: HK Designs:                            Howard has been quite busy recently with his existing clients but is looking to take on more work as things bounce back. Christine Seymour: KTS Computers:         KTS are very busy still and now businesses seem to be taking steps to prepare for staff going back to work after restrictions are lifted. They are reviewing peoples’ support contracts now to make sure clients have the right support in place and saving them money where they can.

Alex Buckle: Travel Agent:                            Alex has been busy supporting clients with their travel arrangements when the restrictions began and this has meant a lot of time cancelling holidays and sorting refunds for people. The tide has turned for Alex now and the travel picture is much more positive. He is busy booking trips and holidays for later this year and for early next year. Keith Hodge: Waterworx Plumbing and Heating: Keith is still very busy with call outs and emergencies. Parts supply has improved and he is able to get all the parts he needs to fix your heating system. Keith and his team have created a Safe Working procedure which means they can safely work in your home. This involves not only single use PPE but distancing and zero face to face contact. They have it sorted.

William Scantlebury: Whole of Market Mortgage Brokers:             William and his team are still able to provide advice on mortgages and mortgage protection using phone and email. They are set up to do everything remotely and can help people anywhere in the UK. Lenders are adapting their systems and applications are still able to be submitted with valuations in most cases being done remotely. If you are coming to the end of your mortgage rate please contact William. Many brokers have furloughed staff so you might not be able to go to your usual broker at this time.

Phil Beard: Thomas Quinn Accountants:                 Phil and his team have been very busy supporting their clients through the various government support schemes including CBILS, BBLS, furlough claim and the various grants. Stephen Eggleston: Residential Cleaning:               Stephen has had to stop all business due to the restrictions but has kept himself and his staff busy with H&S, product and process training. He is providing a remote print service still and is able to print in-house and deliver while maintaining distancing regulations. Whether its books, leaflets, labels or flyers, Rob and is team can still help.

Gennaro Coppolaro: Website Design:                      Gennaro is able to help companies who want to have an online presence or need to update their current website. He is also helping businesses who want professional email addresses and this is now even more important in these days of remote working.

John Grantham: heritage Will:                                     John is now conducting his work by telephone or video call and can still help with Wills and lasting powers of attorney. Although their client meetings are now all remote you still get the same level of service as you always did.

Denis Mulholland: Financial Adviser:                       Dennis is still able to advise on pensions and investments and can help anyone who wants to plan for later life. Phone and video call are how he does it now. They also offer help NHS and military personnel and have expertise in this area.

Paul Key: KES Electrical Services:                               Paul is finding this lockdown very useful as he is doing a lot of PAT testing for businesses, schools and offices. Having an empty office means that he is able to get in with minimal disruption to the workers. If you need your office PAT testing give Paul a call.
